FAQ Friday: Post-signing process

On Friday, April 26th, attorney, Candice Joy shares our process once your documents are signed.

Beneficiary designations and trust funding recommendations are very important and we often refer to it as your “homework”. While it may feel like everything’s done once you sign your paperwork, if these designations aren’t complete, it may be difficult to make sure your plan is put in place correctly.

After you sign your Trust, it’s important to know that if you don’t title your assets in the name of your trust then they will not pass according to your Trust. This can mean all those decisions you made are meaningless in terms of the plan you intended to have in place.
