Graduations

Like many families we had a graduation this Spring. Stephanie Berger received her Juris Doctorate from George Washington School of Law. As I followed her progress through school I can appreciate the skills recent graduates are bringing to the work place with their training and technical skills. Stephanie is all set to put her skills to work at the National Labor Relations Board after she takes the bar exam this summer.

Those of you who have young adults ready to head off to college should consider advance medical directives and powers of attorney. A college or hospital must respect the rights of your young adult. The medical directive and power of attorney will allow parents to make decisions as the agent for the child. We also recommend executing a HIPAA to make sure the hospital will release information should your child be hospitalized. Now is the time to get prepared for the next phase of life.
