On Friday, October 14th Ms. Horn shares about her role in our office and who she is as a mother, spouse and individual. Come meet Karla on Friday!

Karla is a wife and mother of three, with her oldest attending the University of Maryland. Her middle child is attending a trade school for HVAC and her youngest is a freshman in high school.

Karla graduated from University in 1989 with a degree in Accounting and worked for 16 years as an auditor and supervisor for the Department of Defense. She audited government agencies.

She then was fortunate to spend time at home raising her children when her first arrived. Upon re-entering the workforce, Karla started working for the Law Office of Steven M. Berger as an administrator for estates and trusts.

Karla prepares all administrative documents and works closely with the Personal Representatives. She also coordinates closely with the Register of Wills office, appraiser, tax preparers and accountants.

She also assists with the distribution of assets once the process is complete. Sometimes this process can be lengthy but she hopes she is able to alleviate some of the stress.
