FAQ Friday: Real Property Ownership

On Friday, December 27th, attorney Candice Joy discusses real property ownership.

If you are the only name on a deed, putting your property into a trust may be an option to discuss with an attorney. Tenants by the entirety or non-spouses with rights of survivorships means that if one tenant passes, the complete ownership would pass to the remaining tenant. Tenants in common without rights of survivorship would mean that if one tenant passes, their portion of ownership would pass to their heirs and not to the remaining tenant.
