FAQ Friday: What to expect

On Friday, January 27th, Candice Joy describes what to expect during your estate planning consultation process.

The first step is making an appointment. You can do so by calling the office, texting the office, emailing the office or even booking directly from the website.

The next step is to pay the meeting fee (which is credited toward the final cost of hiring us). We also send intake forms to be best prepared for your meeting.

Then we have the meeting, which is one and a half hours with Steve or Candice. They discuss concerns, questions, family, and assets. Once they are aware of the big picture they can recommend the best plan for your situation.

If you decide you are ready to move forward at that time then we will discuss your fee which will be the total cost minus your paid meeting fee. We would also then sign the engagement agreement and set your appointments.

If you are moving forward with trust planning there will be a trust design meeting afterward where more in depth discussion occurs. The third meeting would be a document review and the fourth would be a quick signing.

If you are moving forward with a Will planning, then all the information should be collected during the first meeting. Your second appointment should be a combined review and signing as it is a more streamlined process.

We look forward to working with you!
