For Doctors, Nurses & Hospital StAff

Quick Will

Special Note for Doctors, Nurses & Hospital Staff:
— We are offering frontline health care workers a quick will plan at NO COST during the current public health crisis. It is a good start for any age to ensure your wishes are carried out in the event you cannot make decisions for yourself. —

Create your will

This plan includes:

  • A will with a trust for minor children. This ensures that your assets, including life insurance, will benefit your children through childhood, young adulthood and beyond should something happen to you.

  • File your will at the county register of wills for safekeeping and ease of access.

  • Advance medical directive so that the person(s) you choose can make medical decisions on your behalf if you cannot.

  • Power of Attorney so that the person(s) you designate can manage your finances if you can’t.

  • Beneficiary Designation recommendations. If you have designated beneficiaries with a financial institution, those choices will override any designations in your will, so it's important to make sure they are the correct.

The process

  1. Appointment: Book an appointment. It will be on online and 30 minutes long. If you are married, both you and your spouse need to attend. You don’t need to be in the same place and you can join by video chat or phone.

  2. Intake: Complete our short intake forms.

  3. Meet with Mr. Berger: He will advise you on how to pick guardians for your children and other representatives. Bring any questions you have and we’ll go over them.

  4. Review your documents: We will send draft documents through our secure client portal and you can review them.

  5. Update your beneficiaries: We will give you recommendations to verify, update and/or change beneficiaries at your financial institutions.

  6. Sign your documents: We will e-sign, remotely witness and notarize your documents as long as the Governor’s emergency order is in effect.

  7. Remote certification: After signing, Steve will complete the remote certification paperwork and we will share your finalized documents with you. These documents are considered valid once the signing, notarizing and certification are complete.

  8. File your documents: We will print out a copy of your will and file it with the Register of Wills for safekeeping.

  9. That’s it, you’re done! We will send the receipt from the county register to confirm the filing.
